Terms of Service
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. Acceptance
These terms govern the use of Rapibase Cloud (the "Service"), operated by Rapibase (the "Operator"). By creating an account, checking the acceptance box or using the Service, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
2. The Service
The Service provisions and operates backend instances (database, authentication, storage, realtime, functions and frontend hosting) for your projects. The core software is open source and is governed by its own license in its repository; these terms apply to the managed service, not to the software you may self-host.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys (including your projects' service keys) and for all activity carried out with them. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us of any unauthorized use as soon as you detect it.
4. Plans, payments and suspension
- Current prices are published on the home page. Billing is monthly, in advance, through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card data.
- New projects may include a trial period; when it expires without an active subscription, the instance is paused and its data is retained.
- Pausing a project stops its billing on a prorated basis. Deleting it stops billing permanently.
- In the event of non-payment, after the payment retries the Service may suspend (pause) your projects. Data is retained for at least 30 days from the suspension, after which it may be deleted. Once payment is brought up to date, the projects are resumed.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the change applies to the next billing cycle.
- Unless applicable law provides otherwise, amounts paid are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable use and fair use of resources
You agree not to use the Service for:
- Illegal activities, infringement of third-party rights, malware, phishing or spam.
- Attacks, scans or unauthorized access to your own or third-party systems.
- Cryptocurrency mining, open proxies or workloads whose primary purpose is to consume compute unrelated to the operation of an application.
- Content that exploits or harms minors, or that promotes violence or hatred.
The flat price per project assumes fair use: that of an application in production. If a project consumes resources in a sustained and disproportionate manner, or degrades the platform for other customers, we may temporarily limit it and will contact you to agree on a solution (for example, a custom plan). We reserve immediate suspension only for the cases of abuse or illegality in this section.
6. Your data and your content
- The content and data of your projects (databases, files, functions code, frontend) are yours. You grant us only the limited license strictly necessary to store, process, transmit and back them up for the purpose of providing the Service.
- You are responsible for the content that you and the users of your applications store, and for having a legal basis to process it. With respect to the personal data of your end users, you are the data controller and the Service acts as a data processor on your behalf.
- You can export your data at any time (direct psql access, API and storage).
7. Backups
We apply reasonable efforts to protect and back up the platform, but no system guarantees that data loss is impossible. Keep your own copies of critical information using the available export tools. The Service will not be liable for data loss arising from causes beyond its reasonable control.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We may carry out maintenance, update the software of the instances and modify or withdraw features, always endeavoring to give reasonable notice when the change is material.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) the Operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, loss of business, of reputation or of data, even if it had been advised of their possibility; and (b) the Operator's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount actually paid by you to the Service during the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liabilities that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold the Operator harmless against third-party claims arising from your content, from the applications you build on the Service or from your breach of these terms, including reasonable defense costs and fees.
11. Termination
You may delete your projects and your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service in the event of breaches of these terms — with prior notice where reasonable, and immediately in cases of abuse, illegality or risk to the platform. After termination you will have a reasonable period (30 days, except in cases of illegality) to export your data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by publishing the new version on this page with its date. If the change is material, we will communicate it by a reasonable means (email or a notice in the console). Use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and severability
These terms are governed by the laws of the Operator's domicile, and disputes shall be submitted to the courts of that domicile, unless a mandatory rule to the contrary protects the consumer in their own jurisdiction. If any clause is held invalid, the remainder remains in full force.
14. Partner program
Any account can join the referral program from the console. Joining means accepting these rules:
- Whoever signs up through your link gets an extended free trial. It is a longer trial, not an additional one: it replaces the standard trial and does not stack with it.
- You earn the commission published in your panel for each invited account that pays for a plan, for a limited number of monthly payments. The amount and the number of months are the ones shown in your panel at the time the commission is accrued.
- A commission is generated only by a payment that is actually collected, and stays on hold for the period stated in your panel. If the payment is refunded or disputed, the commission is voided.
- Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, accounts created to generate commissions, spam, paid ads bidding on the Rapibase brand, and misleading claims about the product are not allowed. We may void commissions and remove an account from the program in those cases.
- Payouts are made once the available balance reaches the published minimum, using the method you provide. Any tax on what you receive is your responsibility.
- We may change or end the program at any time. Commissions already accrued and cleared are still paid.
