rapibase

Supabase alternative

A Supabase alternative for apps your AI writes

Supabase is a great Postgres backend. If your app is written by Claude Code, Cursor or another agent, Rapibase gives you the same building blocks plus the two things that are still missing: hosting for the app, and a connection your agent uses to set everything up for you.

1 project free forever · no card · Pro $20/project/month

What you get in both

A real Postgres database, user sign-up and login, file storage, live updates over WebSocket and server-side functions. Both are open source and both can be self-hosted. If you are coming from Supabase, the concepts are the same: tables, row level security, an anon key for the browser and a secret key for the server.

Where Rapibase is different

  • Hosting is included. Your frontend is served from the same domain as the API, on your-app.rapibase.com or on your own domain with automatic HTTPS. No separate Vercel or Netlify account, no CORS.
  • Your agent does the setup. One MCP connection, authorized with OAuth in the browser, gives Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Claude.ai or ChatGPT the tools to create tables, turn on row level security, deploy functions and publish the app. You never paste a key into a chat.
  • A dedicated instance per project. Each project has its own Postgres 16 with pgvector, its own storage and its own API, isolated from other customers.
  • A flat price. One project is free forever. Pro is $20 per project per month, with no charge per user, request or row.

When Supabase is the better choice

If your team already runs on Supabase, depends on its SDK ecosystem or needs features Rapibase does not have yet, stay there. Rapibase makes the most sense when an AI agent writes most of your code and you want the backend and the hosting in one place, with a price you can predict.

Moving over

It is Postgres on both sides, so your schema and data move with a regular dump and restore. The easiest way: create a free project, connect your agent, and ask it to recreate your tables and security rules on Rapibase and point the app to the new API.
